Integrated Translational Research Core > Clinical Database
Our clinical database currently contains information on more than 3000 patients with inflammatory bowel disease (longitudinal information was acquired for more than 1800 patients). Database information is accessed via a “virtual database” integrating electronic medical record upload into an electronic data warehouse via Centricity. Data are secured to comply with HIPAA regulations and are accessible only to the ITR database manager.
Data is made available to investigators only after they have obtained approval from the Institutional Review Board.
The Integrated Translational Core can offer them the following services:
- Assistance to obtain IRB approval to access/query the clinical database.
- Assistance to recruit specific patients for inclusion in the clinical database.
- Assistance in querying the clinical database and modifying search parameters.
